WARNING: Transparent and oh-so-vulnerable post ahead.

 

Once upon a time I thought I was fat.

 

 

 I was wrong.

 

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

As much as I love corned beef and cabbage with potatoes, I also love Hoppin’ John, two traditional new year’s meals. For those of you that don’t know, black eyed peas and green beans with rice. And since I’ll have my corned beef for Saint Patrick’s Day, I like my Hoppin’ John for New Year’s Day.

 

 

Also had some shrimp left over from Christmas, which I may or may not have nibbled at a little bit too much… Okay, a LOT too much. But, I mean, it’s SHRIMP! Did I mention I LOVE shrimp!

 

BUT, I’m back on track, and have been out for 2 walklets this week, even managed the easier half-mile walklet on Sunday!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!

 

 

 

And I’ll get out for another walklet (just ¼ mile this time) in the 70-ish degree sunshine shortly.

 

 

Not a bad way to start the new year!!!

 

Today’s weigh-in is looking good…

 

 

I’m working toward my goal and I’m NOT going to quit or give up. Not even holiday dinners and baking will deter me—and it’s not going to offset my progress!! I won’t let it!!!

 

 

Here’s to seeing less of me in the weeks to come.
