THE BOOK
THE BLURB
Detective Chase Washington knows Brooke Turner is guilty of
murdering her best friend. What he can't comprehend is how she has managed to
elude capture for six months. With Lenora Chambers’ blood calling out to him
from the ground, Chase will stop at nothing to find Brooke Turner and bring her
to justice.
When he finally tracks her down, nothing is as black and white as Chase
thought. Lost in the wild with no way to communicate with the outside world and
another possible suspect on their trail, Chase and his prisoner have become the
prey in a desperate quest to survive.
Fans of riveting, edge-of-your-seat suspense with clean romance and spiritual
truths will love this fast-paced offering.

MY REVIEW
We all make choices we regret. Choices others don’t agree with. Choices that are just plain dumb.
Brooke Turner made a choice, a decision in the face of [SPOILER.] And while at first glance, this reader disagreed, who’s to say I wouldn’t have made the same choice given the same situation.
Enter Detective Chase Washington. And the manhunt that turned deadly and found them stranded in the wilderness of northern Canada.
Ms. Davison shoved her characters into the most unlikely scenario, forcing conversation between them, and bearing the truth as they make their way back to civilization.
The twists in the story tighten with each page—and each drumbeat. The fact that Brooke is an author adds a fascinating layer to the story, the plot of one of her books playing out in real (fictional) time.
The double layer of story-telling is a particular favorite of this reader. And the fact that it’s one of Ms. Davison’s stories makes it all the better.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (NKJV) Joshus 1:9
