ALL THE WEDDINGS

Mere wasn’t the only one with friends and weddings. And I don’t just mean Jordan and Paige. Yeah, my mate, Drew was finally tying the knot with Amanda. I mean, they’ve been together for six years, known each other for eight years, and been engaged for two.

Naturally I was the best man since Drew’s brothers couldn’t be bothered to even attend his wedding. His dad had recovered from the stroke but it had left him permanently disabled and unable to travel. Especially half-way across the world. But his brothers? Sad, just sad.

As it turns out, Mandy’s family was more screwed up than Drew’s and mine together. Her parents got divorced before she was even a year old, and her dad remarried three months later. Her mother at least waited a few years. It’s a large part of why Mandy turned to drinking.

Her sister was coming to the wedding, but as Mandy says, she’s a train wreck and no way would she be in the wedding, let alone her maid of honor. So Mandy asked Mere.

Now, my best friend was married, Jord’s best mate, Gus had been married for five years. Mere’s sister was married, and my brother would be married in five months. All of a sudden we weren’t dumb kids doing dumb things; we were adults with spouses and kids—okay, I know it was actually a few years but sometimes it didn’t feel that way.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

“I’ve always had voices—er, stories in my head. I once said I should write them all down so someone could write them someday. I had no idea at the time that someone was me!”

My stories are deep and dark, my characters raw and real, with a healthy helping of hope and joy, humor and laughter, and abiding and sustaining faith.

My characters struggle in some way for their identity. Their stories are their journey to know who God created them to be.

There is also a strong element of friends, family, and faith in all my stories, and the difference it makes to have such a support system.
