MY REVIEW
A single-minded detective. A single-minded philanthropist.
Eve Dallas has a murder to investigate. One that leads her to Roarke, the devastatingly handsome billionaire. But is he a suspect or a new romance?
The story moves at the speed of light, page after page of mystery and intrigue. When there’s a second murder, Eve digs to find a connection between the two victims. And who their killer might be. But one dead end after another leaves her stymied. And more determined than ever.
One drawback to this story, for this reader at least, is that I didn’t realize it is set in the future until well into the story. I borrowed this book without reading the back cover or seeing the blurb online. It threw me until I figured it out.
