TUESDAY REVIEWS-DAY CATCH-UP BLITZ - BOOK REVIEW – WATERFALL by LINDA K. RODANTE
THE BOOK
THE BLURB
A dead body, a flood, and a boy’s rescue. Can Annalisa
Carabelle keep the boy safe while racing to discover a killer before it's too
late?
All Annalisa Carabelle wants is a successful summer season for the
bed-and-breakfast she co-owns. She never expected the flood, the boy who needed
rescuing, or the man who came from nowhere to help. The dead body? Well, the
wound to the head proved it had nothing to do with do with the deluge.
Richard Jordan’s plans for the summer include as much scrambling up waterfalls
as possible. He needs the adrenaline rush because life has proven routine, even
pointless. But both the woman and the boy called him a hero, and maybe the dead
body is a wake-up call. Life might be worth living if he and this intriguing
woman can find the killer and make sure he doesn’t kill again.
But they’ve got too many suspects, and even the police are baffled. With the
family protecting the killer, he might just get away for good, unless they
force his hand—and stay alive while they are doing it.
THE AUTHOR
Besides being an author, I am married with two grown sons, a precious daughter-in-law and six grandchildren whom I love!
In between raising a family, I worked in the banking industry, then became a center director for a pregnancy center. I spent eight years with an anti-trafficking group in the Tampa Bay area, and eight years at Trinity College of Florida. These last three influenced my thinking greatly and influence my writing as well.
I love sweet tea, and the beaches, the swamps, and the forests of my native Florida. I now reside in Tennessee near my grandchildren, and love the coolness, the mountains and seasonal changes of Tennessee, especially the fall leaf change!
I started writing when I was twelve then put it all away when I married. At 27, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Years later, I started writing again, but now I had God’s help and purpose!
I write Christian romantic suspense. My books wrap sweet romance in real-life issues women face today. Some of these are hard situations that find their answer in God's love, power and forgiveness. Each book includes mystery and suspense and a dose of laughter. I desire is not only to entertain, but also to encourage others in their walk with God.
MY REVIEW
Ms. Rodante has a knack for combining murder and suspense, drama and romance, and creating a riveting story. Scaling a waterfall isn’t this reader’s idea of fun but I can’t deny the challenge and exhilaration of it. The floods, however, while challenging, bring no exhilaration at all. Rather, the natural disaster brings death and destruction, and despair.
And in Ms. Rodante’s story, the floods bring murder suspects. Waterfall is filled with twists and turns that keep the reader turning page after page.

I purchased this book and offer my review of my own free will. The opinions expressed in my review are my own honest thoughts and reaction to this book.
